Jacqueline "Jacquie" Ahl, 64, passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 20, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Jacquie was born in Schenectady the daughter of the late Dorothy (Shenton) and Harry Stevens, Jr. and was a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Niskayuna High School, attended William Smith College, and received her RN from the Ellis Hospital School of Nursing. She was a devoted wife, mother and daughter, and cared deeply for her brother, David. In her 34 years as a nurse at Ellis Hospital she developed a passion for adolescent mental health and touched the lives of countless people. Jacquie was an avid reader and an accomplished pianist. She is survived by her devoted husband of 26 years, Francis Ahl; daughter, Allison C. Ahl of Schenectady; step-daughter, Cynthia Cole of Scotia; siblings, Harry (Jose) Stevens of Schenectady, Sherry (Steven) Haight of Sumrall, MS, Cynthia (Elston) Wyatt of San Diego, CA and David Stevens of Albany, NY; and her many nieces and nephews. Many thanks to her very special friends who supported her in her time of need. A family service will be held Friday.
