Obituary of Charmaine Florell

Niskayuna - Charmaine J. Florell, known to most people as "Cookie", 57, died Friday, December 30, 2016 at Albany Medical Center. Cookie was born in Springfield, MA, and moved to Schenectady as a child. She was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School and the Ellis School of Nursing. For many years she owned her own house cleaning business and had waitressed at Sportsman Bowl and later the Stockade Inn. Her favorite pastime was spending time with family and friends and boating on The Great Sacandaga Lake. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Mark Florell. Two children, Kristin (Chip Treacy) Florell and Kyle (Celeste) Florell; her stepfather, Robert Fluty Sr.; and three siblings, Renoa Woods, Robert (Karen Cross) Fluty Jr. and Daryll Fluty; nieces, Monique Levesque and Autumn Rain Fluty; and in-laws, Karl and Georgiana Florell and family.
