Colonie - Leonard "Len" Kot, 80, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017. Leonard was born and raised in Schenectady, the son of the late John and Eva (Nowicki) Kot. His family moved to the Village of Colonie in the early 1960's and Len has lived there since. He worked at Albany Memorial Hospital as a lab technician for many years. Len enjoyed bowling, gardening, hunting and fishing and his trips to the Saratoga Racino. Len was predeceased by his wife of 40 years, Karen Kot. In addition to his wife, he was also predeceased by his brothers Gregory and Blaise. He is survived by his children: Dierdre "Dee" Kot of Colonie, NY, Jennifer Kot of Endicott, NY and Rachel (Robert) Major of Greenfield Center, NY, grandson Clayton Leonard Major, several nieces, nephews and a host of wonderful neighbors. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 11:00 am at the Church of St. Clare, 1947 Central Ave., Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the church. Interment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
