Obituary of Amelia Nowicki

Schenectady - Amelia "Mela" Nowicki, 99, went to meet her husband Frank on Wednesday, March 22, 2017. Amelia was born in Ushers. At one time she worked at the General Electric Co. She bowled for many years with the Rotterdam Women's Independent bowling league and with her husband "Tat they were active with the Polka dancing community. She also loved horse racing and playing cards. Mela was predeceased by her husband Frank J. Nowicki in 2002 and her their son James Nowicki, who died in 2012. She is survived by her daughter Delores (Richard) Inzero and daughter in law Theresa Nowicki; five grandchildren: Richard (Sue) Inzero and Deborah (Mark) Roberts, Dr. Michelle Bacares, Dr. Margaret Nowicki and Professor Elizabeth Nowicki, Esq.; five great-grandchildren Sara, Jenny and Katlin Inzero and Grace and Katie Roberts, many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Donnie P. who was like a second son to " Frankie and his girl ", and to friends Kim, Barbara and Emma. Amelia was predeceased by her siblings Frances Peek, John Horton, Wanda Zmyewski, Caroline Pietrowicz, Sadie Zajac and Joseph Horton. Funeral service will be held Saturday morning, 9:45 at Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. A visitation will be held from 9:00 to 9:45 at the funeral. Interment Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. Amelia's family would like to thank the staff of Capital Living for the care they provided.
