Schenectady - Margaret Mary DeSarbo, 100, passed away Monday, July 24, 2017. Margaret was born in Schenectady the daughter of the late Helena and Nicholas Green and was a lifelong resident. She worked as a Matron at Linton High School for many years and enjoyed traveling, collecting coins, playing cards bingo. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Joseph DeSarbo; daughter, Joan Sellick; son, Arthur DeSarbo; grandson, Burton Sellick, Jr.; and brother, Donald Lobb. She was also predeceased by her five step-children she cared for. Margret is survived by her children, Paul (Linda) DeSarbo, Raymond (Katie) DeSarbo, Diane (Michael) Pollock and Bruce (Philomena) DeSarbo; sister, Frances Fatato; 12 grandchildren and many greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be Thursday 11 a.m. at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. A calling hour will precede the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Park View Cemetery, Schenectady.
