Mary J. Sharron, 84, of Louis Road, Schenectady, passed away at Ellis Hospital, August 18, 2017, after living a long and happy life. She was born in New York City on February 7, 1933 and graduated from Mont Pleasant High School. Mary was a lifelong resident of Schenectady and also enjoyed many years at Sacandaga Lake and in Fort Pierce, Florida. Wife of devoted husband, Bruce Sharron with whom she recently celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary; truly they had found the secret to happy marriage. She was a loving dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mother of Patricia (Michael) Henaghan, Daniel (Holly) Sharron, and Linda Sharron Stark. Grandmother of nine, Marissa (William) O'Connor, Daniel Henaghan, Leah (Ian) Thompson, Rachel and Austin Sharron, Lisa, AmandaRae, Matthew, & RikkiLeigh Stark. She loved spending time with each of her grandchildren, taking them on many mystery trips. She was also blessed with her three great-granddaughters, Delaney & Everly O'Connor and Adeline Stark. She is survived by her sister, Rita (Herman) DiMeo, in addition to several nieces and nephews. She was involved in many social activities with her Florida community. Everyone around her enjoyed her wonderful sense of humor and laughter. She will always be special to her family giving them so many happy memories of the great times spent together. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Mary Sharron to The Daily Bread Food Pantry (St. Luke's Food Pantry) at 1243 State St., Schenectady, NY 12304. Relatives and friends may call at Daly Funeral Home on Sunday, August 20th from 2 to 5 p.m., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Paul the Apostle Church on Monday, August 21st at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
