Schenectady -Helen A. Mikielewicz White, formerly of  Park Ave, Schenectady, who possessed a wonderful love of family and a great sense of humor, passed away quietly on December 16th at the age of 101 at Ellis Hospital with her loving family by her side. Helen was born the daughter of Anna and Martin Mikielewicz and attended Nott Terrace High School. She was loved by many friends and acquaintances and will be missed by many.

 

A lifelong resident of Schenectady, she treasured time with family and friends. She loved animals, gardening, cooking for the family,  attending church, and enjoyed taking care of her home. For many years, she worked hard while raising a family and retired from the office of her nephew Dr. Charles E. Peterson of whom she was very proud. 

 

Helen was predeceased by her husband Stephen White, her sisters Olga and Mildred, her daughter Sharon (Jim) Petit and grandson Scott Drouin. Her survivors include her son Stephen P. White JR, her daughter Jacqueline White Drouin, grandchildren Michelle Drouin, Paul Sattler, LarissaWinkler (Tommy) and her great granddaughters Emma Winkler, Chelsea and Lesley Drouin, and her nephew Dr. Charles Peterson (Betty), and nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral Service Friday 11:00 o'clock at Daly Funeral Home 242 MCClellan St . There will be no calling hours . Interment St Adalberts Cemetery
