Bob & family, I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. I have fond memories of Karen working at Harbor House, she was a spit fire! One of my forever friends, Karen Brunner, since childhood, passed away and will be raising hell with my sister Janet now. She will always be remembered by me as always being there for my sister and I. I can’t count the fun wild times that I had with this lady! I will treasure so many memories from driving around in her Trans Am, water skiing, playing soccer, pool hopping during our mile runs during soccer practice, her holding up our soccer games due to telling our referees that her name was Phyllis Shamanski, Chinese fire drills while driving to soccer games, adult softball playing together, bar hopping, Golden Dragon and Union Inn nights, concerts, college visits from her, sleepovers, sneaking out adventures, being a bridesmaid for me, covering my maternity job teaching for my first son, coaching gymnastics at Northeast Gymnastics together as adults, confirmation sponsor, giving my daughter a job, offering me a place to live when I desperately needed it, her crazy ass middle of the night phone calls forever…. I will miss those calls and some of our random meetings to catch up! That lady was brilliant and she loved using that brain helping to run every business with her partner! She loved helping any one in need and would give you her shirt off of her back. She will forever be remembered for the best friend with the huge heart, that was fun and brilliant! So happy that she is no longer struggling and is at peace with loved ones! Always in my prayers!
