Veronica Chrostowski Obituary
Veronica M. 'Roni' Chrostowski, 70, of Maida Ln., died Wednesday, May 12, 2010, after an extended illness, at the home of her daughter. Roni was born in Schenectady, the daughter of Dominic and Evelyn Juisto. She was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. Roni was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Assumption Church. She will always be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Richard C. Chrostowski. Roni is also survived by two daughters, Tami (Jeff) Bloom of Burnt Hills and Cindy Chrostowski of Rotterdam; a sister, Madeline (Donald) Kennedy of Rotterdam; four grandchildren, Brian and Aaron Bloom, Kara and Alyssa Slezak; and many cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, Richard and Felix Jiusto. Funeral services on Tuesday morning at 8:45 from the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady, and 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Church, 210 Princetown Rd., Rotterdam, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours on Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment, Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. Memorial contributions may be made to Brigham and Women's Hospital Development Office, 116 Huntington Ave., 5th floor, Boston, MA 02116 (designated for the Heart Transplant Program.)
