So sad to hear of Fran’s passing. My condolences to her husband Jim and family. I have very fond memories of Fran and I sharing many Barry Manilow moments together. My favorite memory of all was in Carnegie Hall in 1999. Fran’s train was late she had to drag her luggage into the concert hall with her so we sat together listening to Barry and Donna Summer with our feet propped up on her luggage. We had fun at the famous Copa that night and stayed up all night laughing and talking in our PJs. She always knew how to make everyone laugh. Her smile and sparkly spirit will be missed.

I was so sad to read in the Gazette about Fran's passing. Have many memories of her throughout our school years. I will also miss seeing her at Proctors as she attended often and I would see her while I ushered there. My sincere sympathy Jim to you and your family.

Fran’s mom was my amazing piano teacher. I met Fran when our mom’s arranged a play date for us. That was over 70 years ago.
Fran was 9 months older than I. We were at Oneida Jr. High School, Linton High School, and the College of St. Rose together. We even had the same cooperating teacher when we did our student teaching. Fran had the honor of being her first student teacher. I was her second.
Having Fran as a friend these many years gave me many priceless gifts - not the least of which were our almost daily phone calls. Although we no longer will be able to phone one another, I know we will “keep in touch”. In fact, we already have.
When I was driving into my garage yesterday, I heard the ‘Grand March’ from the opera AIDA on my car radio. Fran’s mom was named for Amneris, the princess in the opera.
Today I found the heating pad for which I have been looking since September. It was one that Fran suggested I buy.
This evening I was driving to the drug store at about 5:00. I noticed it still was light out, and I was reminded of how excited Fran got when days began to get longer.
Fran’s passing is more than difficult to endure. Her physical presence is so missed. There is no way I can put into words my deep sympathy to her family. Yet, may I suggest that all who loved her “keep in touch” with her through your memories of her and in everyday happenings that bring her to mind. By doing that, she always will be with you.
May I close by thanking our mom’s for that first play date which grew into a life long and most treasured friendship.

I am saddened to hear of Fran's passing. My condolences to her family. I will miss our messages and phone calls and reminiscing about family and the days of our youth. The times spent in Haverhill, Schenectady and Salisbury with our grandparents and my aunts. RIP, my cousin from Schenectady.

I am so shocked and saddened to hear this news! Fran and I were friends due to our mutual love of everything Barry Manilow. I don't even remember how we met, but we soon found that we shared other things in common as well. The first year I started teaching, our classes were pen pals with each other. We talked shop about teaching, we talked about baseball, we talked about our love of animals, but mostly we just talked. Fran was with me for some of my best times seeing Barry Manilow. I will miss you my friend. See you somewhere down the road. My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time.
