Colonie - Colleen Ginac Connelly, formerly of Priscilla Lane, Rotterdam, died Wednesday, March 8, 2023.
Colleen was born in Burlington, Vermont, the daughter of Ray and Molly Ginac and moved to Schenectady as a child. She graduated from St. Columba's High School. She held various positions at several local banks before retiring from Key Bank.
Colleen's friends and family remember her thoughtfulness, witty humor, and kindness to all. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and was the center of her family. An avid reader, Colleen devoured several books a week.
Colleen is predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Paul. She is survived by her children: Mary Sauer (Adam), Ann Ryan, Paul Connelly (Lynne) and Mark Connelly (Meghan); grandchildren: Jack, Liam, and Joe Connelly, Kim Krahforst-Lang (Andrew), Nikolay Ryan, and Kalyn Gribben (Jared); siblings: Mike, Frank, and Tim Ginac; also many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Calling hours will be Sunday 5:00-7:00 pm at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday 9:00 am at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 1241 State St., Schenectady. Internment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
