Aurelia Caban Obituary

Schenectady – Aurelia Caban passed away on July 12, 2023.


She was born on November 12, 1934, in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico,

the daughter of Jose Acevedo and Maria Ramos.

Aurelia moved with her family to Brooklyn, NY at the age of 10,

in December 1944. In 1965, she moved to Schenectady, NY. She

worked at Campbell Plastics for 29 years, until her retirement in 1966.


Aurelia was predeceased by her longtime companion, Ramon Gomez

and her brothers, Jose Acevedo, Aurelio Acevedo and Felix Acevedo.


She is survived by her son, Victor (Linda) Caban; grandson, Scott (Carly)

Caban, granddaughter, Amanda (Kedor) Olsen; great-grandsons, Scott Caban,

Chase Civitello and Samuel Caban and 3 great-granddaughters, Karisma Brown, Alyssa Snyder and Ayanna Robinson.

Aurelia is also survived by great-grandsons, Scott Caban, III and the twins,

Sebastian and Sire Caban; sister-in-law, Nilda Acevedo and many nephews

and nieces.


Visiting hours for family and friends will be held on Sunday, July 16, from

2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan Street, Schenectady.

Interment will be private.
