Schenectady - Yvonne Vivian Bowman, 89 of Schenectady New York passed away peacefully on February 17, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born in Plattsburgh, New York to Ernest and Orian DuPont. She was predeceased by her husband Donald, her parents, and several siblings.

She is survived by her son Edward (Pat), her son Bruce (Theresa) and her daughter Bernice Furnia (Jeff). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Loretta and Florence and her brother Ernie and many nieces and nephews. She will also be greatly missed by Abigail, Madison, Ginger and Gracie, her grand puppies.

Yvonne worked at St. Clare’s Hospital until her retirement. After her retirement, she enjoyed traveling, going to casinos, playing bingo and going to breakfast with her sisters. She loved her family and always lit up when her children and grandchildren came to visit.

The family would like to thank the Hospice Care and also to the staff of the Joan Nicole Prince Home for their wonderful and compassionate care for Yvonne.

Funeral Service at 10:00 am Friday February 21, 2025 with visitation until 12:00, then burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery.
