Glenville - Barbara passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025, after a long illness. She will be missed and remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, friend, and beautiful human.

She was born in Schenectady on December 16, 1942, to Stanley and Dorothy Rogalski (Podalski). She graduated from Schalmont High School in 1961 and cosmetology school shortly thereafter. After marrying her husband Bruce (predeceased), of 58 years, she worked as a hairdresser in Rochester, NY, until raising her children in the home (and providing them with free haircuts). Having moved back to Schenectady after her second son, Jeffrey, was born, and when her third son, Scott, became a high school student, she continued her career until retirement as a hairdresser at Gemmette's Hair Styling of Scotia. She was an avid bowler, along with enjoying gardening, stained glass, crocheting, ceramics, choir, and canasta (her long-time friends and partners for canasta and camping were Bonnie and Bob Ransom).

She is predeceased by her parents and husband Bruce. She is survived by her three sons: Richard, Scott, Jeffrey (his wife Jodi and granddaughters, Maggie and Lynsey); her sister Evelyn Varone (her daughters Christine Eckerson, Patricia Stevens, son John Eckerson); and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M., Monday June 2, 2025, at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Calling hours will precede the service from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. A private burial will follow, at Saratoga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you consider a contribution to Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Ave., Glenville, NY, or a charity of your choice in her honor.
