Susan Faith Wood
Born October 14,1953 in Schenectady NY to Julius F. Wood and Gwendolyn June Bavernitz.
Attended Linton High School, graduating in 1971.
Employed by H&R Block, Fleet Bank, Bank of America, MVP Insurance, Garda Cash Logistic Services, and lastly, at Nathan Littauer Hospital.
She was a proud organizing member of the Old Hellebergh Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution since 1979. She served as Regent of the Chapter for four terms and in various other positions. Susan served the state organization as both State Custodian and District III Director, and as a Page for many years, which she enjoyed immensely. She served the National Society as National Vice Chair NE of Americanism and DAR Manual for Citizenship and as National Vice Chair NE for Program, and a Page in Washington, D.C.
She was predeceased by her beloved John B. DeCarlo Sr. who broke her heart with his passing in 2010.
Survived by her loving daughter, Angela-Marie Fabiani, her faithful feline Tinkerbell, and lifelong friend Debra-Anne Piciotto DiMezza. She is also survived by her beloved Rene Savoie, who meant the world to her (so when you see a daisy…).
Burial will be in the St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Amsterdam, NY next to her beloved Johhny on July 30, 2025 at 2:30 PM
