Linda L. Rees (Sparre), age 79, originally of Schenectady, NY passed away peacefully at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, NY on October 17, 2025 with her niece by her side. Born in Schenectady on August 6, she was pre-deceased by her loving husband Bruce E. Rees and beloved sister Gail M. Simmons (Sparre).

Linda attended Mont Pleasant Highschool and thereafter obtained her Certification from Colonna Beauty School. She had a diverse work history including St. Johnsbury Trucking, Dr. Paul's podiatry office, Dottie's Beauty Shop, and HMS and C. Callahan insurance agencies.

While she loved to travel, camp, and drink wine in her younger years, her favorite hobby has always been shopping. Whether hiding her purchases in the dishwasher from her husband, or in a drawer from her niece, QVC and Boscov's were always on speed dial.

She is survived by her loving niece Michele "Micki" Simmons (Nicole "Nikki" Wright) and devoted cat Cha-Cha, and many lifelong and newly made friends.

The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Peter's Hospital and Peregrine Senior Living at Crossgates for their compassionate care and assistance.
