Lawrence T. Kraham Sunday, November 23, 2025
Lawrence “Larry” T. Kraham passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 23, 2025. Born in Rochester, New York, he was the son of the late Paul J. Kraham and his wife, Helen. When Larry was a young child, the family moved to Schenectady so his father could run the Capital District Sears Roebuck store, a move that shaped much of Larry’s early life.
An adventurous spirit from the start, Larry famously hopped trains across the country as a young man, making his way to San Francisco. There he attended college and immersed himself in the vibrant Beatnik generation. He developed a lifelong love of poetry and was deeply inspired by the works of writers such as Jack Kerouac. Larry was also a great admirer of folk music, especially the songs of Bob Dylan, Pete Seeger, and Joan Baez, and he nurtured his own talent as a writer over the years.
Larry’s passions were wide and sincere. He was an enthusiastic IndyCar racing fan and a dedicated car enthusiast who owned several sports cars throughout his life. He was also an avid reader and possessed an unmistakably warm and quick sense of humor that endeared him to all who knew him.
Professionally, Larry devoted more than four decades to the Coca-Cola Company, where he built a long and steady career before retiring. Generous by nature, he supported numerous charitable organizations throughout his life.
Larry is survived by his loving daughter, Angelina Carlino, and his beloved grandson, Dean Carlino, who brought him great joy.
Larry’s funeral service will be Tuesday 1:00 pm at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Interment to follow in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. There will be no calling hours
