Schenectady - Vernon A. Diamante, 97, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 28, 2025 at the Baptist Health and Nursing Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Schenectady, he was a graduate of Nott Terrace. Vernon was a member of the US National Guard for 20 years, earning the rank of Sergeant. He also worked as manager of corporate finance for the General Electric Company, before retiring in 1989.

Vernon was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club and a longtime communicant of the St. Anthony's Church.

He is predeceased by his loving wife of 75 years. Roselyn A Diamante. They will be together again in eternal love and peace.

Vernon was the loving father of 3 children; Dawn Diamante (Jon Garniss), Donna McCreesh.(Paul Martomoli) and the late David Diamante.

He is survived by a sister, Theresa Diamante and predeceased by a brother, William Diamante.

The Funeral Service will be private. There will be no calling hours. Interment, St. Anthony's Cemetery.
