I am so sorry to learn of Dr. Fraterrigo's passing. I met him when I was 16 (I'm now in my 70s) and getting contact lenses for the first time. He had just joined Dr. Manuel Green's ophthalmology practice. I can still remember him using a tiny suction cup to place the hard lens on my eye, and how gently he did so. When Dr. Green retired and I needed a new ophthalmologist, I became Dr. Fraterrigo's patient. He later performed multiple surgeries on my eyes, always with the utmost care and concern. I never doubted the outcome would be anything but successful. I stayed with the practice after he semi-retired, now seeing son Philip for the past 20 years. Dr. Fraterrigo Sr. was the kind of doctor everyone wishes they could have, always listening to the patient and making their needs a priority. I was fortunate to be his patient. May his memory be for a blessing.
