Schenectady - Phyllis T. Coons (Griffin), 88, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026.

Born and raised in Schenectady, New York, Phyllis was the beloved daughter of the late John Griffin and Jenni Savigano. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, David Coons, who preceded her in death in 2013.

Phyllis was a loving and supportive mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was the center of her life, and she took great pride in being there for those she loved, always offering kindness, encouragement, and unwavering support.

She is survived by her children, Susan Brown, David Coons, and John Coons; her siblings, Tony Griffin and Patty Smith; and her grandchildren, Corrinne Redondo (Jeff), Jacqueline Brown, Megan Gould (Robert), and Amanda Machia (Jon). She was also blessed with three great-grandchildren, Mason Redondo, Emily Gould, and Autumn Machia, who brought her immense joy.

Calling hours will be held at Daly Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 17th, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

Phyllis will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her love, strength, and the lasting impact she had on her family.
