Sylvie, 87, passed away peacefully at her home in Schenectady, NY on Sunday April 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.


Born in Little Diamond, East Bank Demerara, Guyana, to the late Mahes and Phulbasia Singh. Sylvie was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, big auntie, great auntie, and friend to many.


Indranie was predeceased by her loving husband William Kenneth Paul. She was the beloved mother to her son Krishna David (Nayne) Paul Sr. She was a loving grandmother to Krishna Jr., Kevin, and the late Kristine Paul. She is also survived by her siblings Ronald (Raj) Singh, Shirley Ghani, Dolly (Sid) Bassoo. She is predeceased by her brother Harold, sister Elsie, sister Ivy and her brother in-law Payo. Additional family members include Gangadai, Peppy, Roy, Raymond, Desmond, Lennox, Dennis, and Charlie.


She found great joy in cooking, knitting, and sewing. She was a long-time watcher of "The Price Is Right" and of course she enjoyed a little daytime drama, from the Young and Restless and the Bold and the Beautiful.


A woman of deep and abiding faith, she was also a cherished member of Grace Family Fellowship Church in Schenectady, NY.


A special heartfelt thank you to her caregivers, medical providers, personal home health aides, she appreciated all of you and the care provided. You became a part of her family.


Sylvie's life was a beautiful reflection of faith, love, and devotion. She will remain forever in our hearts, guiding us with the same warmth, strength, and grace she shared so generously throughout her life.
