Raphael "Rae" Cirincione Obituary
Schenectady — Raphael "Rae" (Civitello) Cirincione, 93, died unexpectedly on April 28,
2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a lifelong resident of Schenectady
and a graduate of Nott Terrace High School. She worked for the Welfare Department
before becoming a stay-at-home mother, a role at which she truly excelled.
Rae was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Dominic Cirincione, with whom she shared
57 years of marriage. She was the youngest of four daughters born to Ralph and Rose
(Mastrianni) Civitello. Rae was the devoted mother of Thomas (Allison), Richard (Pam),
and James (Debbie). She adored her grandchildren, Tyler, Kelsey, Katie, Andrew, Tina,
and Henri, and is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her
parents, Rae was predeceased by her sisters, Anne Marie Angerami, Catherine
Civitello, and Elvera Perrino.
Rae cherished time spent with family and friends. She was always fashionable and
loved having a reason to dress nicely and wear jewelry. For many years, she and her
husband enjoyed spending the winter months at their condominium in Vero Beach. She
was known for her excellent cooking and her deep love for her family. She will be dearly
missed by all who knew her. Rae was a devoted Catholic who said the Rosary every
day and was a Parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church.
Our family extends sincere gratitude to the staff of Ellis Hospital C-6 for their kindness,
compassion, and wonderful care during her final illness.
Calling hours will be Sunday 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Monday at St. John The Evangelist Church, 806 Union St., Schenectady.
