Eunice “Annette” (Kwiatkowski) Liwulanga, 85, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Monday, June 29, 2026, under the compassionate care of Community Hospice and with her devoted husband, Edward by her side. It was one week shy of their 41st wedding anniversary.

Born in Rotterdam, New York, on July 18, 1940, Annette was the eldest of nine children born to the late Joseph and Eunice (Priest) Kwiatkowski. She was a lifelong resident of the Schenectady area and took great pride in her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse. For more than 30 years, she faithfully cared for residents at Glendale Nursing Home and later at Baptist Retirement Center. Caring for others was more than a profession—it was her calling.

Annette’s compassion extended far beyond the workplace. A member of Center Glenville Methodist Church, she devoted herself to her family, especially the younger generations, and had an extraordinary love for animals. Whether talking to her cats, tending to her birds, fish, turtles, or the koi in her pond, she found joy in every living creature. She also possessed a remarkable gift for gardening, often finding plants on the roadside and nurturing them into beautiful additions to her garden. Deeply faithful and blessed with a wonderful sense of humor, Annette never missed an opportunity to share a laugh or brighten someone’s day.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved son, Alan Thomas Carlone, and by her cherished Aunt and godmother Cecelia who was also her lifelong best friend.

Annette is survived by her loving husband, Edward Liwulanga; her children, Clifford Carlone, Kenneth Carlone, Maria Ryan, Cherie Bentley, and Brian Carlone; her stepdaughter, Martina Dailey; her siblings, Patricia LaRowe, Stanley Kwiatkowski, Joseph Kwiatkowski, Barbara Wilcox, William Kwiatkowski, Vernon Kwiatkowski, Leonard Kwiatkowski, and Elizabeth Picard; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will all miss her deeply.

Those who knew Annette will forever remember the words she lived by: “Love and compassion for others is what is the most important in life.”

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, July 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan Street, Schenectady. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
