Obituary of Jessilin Simon

Schenectady - Jessilin M. Simon, of Brandywine Ave., Schenectady, passed away quietly, asending into the kingdom of God on Friday, October 28, 2016, after a short stay at Ellis Hospital. She was born in Schoharie, NY, the daughter of the late Clifton and Ada Cole. Jessilin graduated from Gloversville High School. She had several employers but her most cherished job was working for the county as a financial counselor. She loved working with the young peeople providing guidance and support. Her hobbies were traveling, bowling and watching wrestling with her brother and son. Along with her parents, Jessilin was predeceased by her sisters, Carol, Shirley, Winnifred, Margaret and her brothers, William, Duane, and John; her children, Jamie Simon, Susan Henderson and her grandson, Wayne Brown. Jessilin is survived by her children, Earl (Jack), Robin (Harry), Bruce (Tiffany), Marcus (Cheryl), and Tracey (Linda). Jessilin is also survived her sisters, Maxine (James), Yvonne and Connie (Jerry) and her brother, Marcus (Marie); also a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 4, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady, NY.
