Crescent City, CA. - William A. Alberts, 73, formerly of Schenectady, died Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at the Addie Meedom Assisted Living in Crescent City, CA. Bill was born in Schenectady on January 1, 1943, the son of William and Geraldine Sprung Alberts. He was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School and was a U S Air Force veteran, during the Vietnam War.. After the service, he settled for several years, working for United Airline, as a jet mechanic, in Riverside, CA. Later, working at several jobs and moving to Crescent City, where he loved reading Field and Stream magazine, hunting, fishing and hiking. He collected a gun and rifle collection and enjoyed listening to Elvis. He was predeceased by his son Joseph William Edward Alberts and a sister Roberta A. Alberts. Bill is survived by his sister, Patricia Alberts Harr and a half brother, Joseph Pasquariell;, cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral service, Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. for Bill and his son, Joseph William Edward will be held at Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. A calling hour will precede the service at the funeral home. Interment Vale Cemetery, Schenectady, with military honors.
