Obituary of Anthony Busino

Schenectady-  Anthony Everett Busino, 86, passed from mortality to immortality with the Lord on January 17, 2017.  He was born in Schenectady, New York on January 15, 1931 to Anthony and Angela (Petrino) Busino.  Tony was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School and later studied Business Administration.  He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War, later working for many years as a car salesman at Schenectady Chrysler Plymouth Saab and then New Salem Garage.  After retirement he maintained a connection with his profession by working part time for Jim's Auto Sales of Glenville.   He was an avid sports fan, especially enjoying the Yankees and Giants.  He enjoyed the ocean and driving, combining the two on vacations with family and friends.  He was an enthusiastic golfer, loving the game and his golf buddies for his entire life.  During the last year and a half of his life he made many new friends,  comfortable with the companionship and care of fellow residents and staff at Ellis Residential and Rehabilitation Center.   The family is extremely grateful for the compassion and care provided on the Stockade unit by all of the staff especially during the last weeks of his life.  Each and every one that touched him during this time showed him respect and love. A special thanks to Father Tony and Father Vic for their spiritual support.  This was appreciated by Tony and the family.  He was predeceased by his siblings, Dr William Busino, Lillian Busino, RN and Francis Busino.  He is survived by nephews and a niece, Dr William Busino, Jr. and his wife Cheryl, Dr Lawrence J. Busino and his wife Kyle, John Busino and his wife Sandra, Lawrence R. Busino and his wife Shirley and Paula Miller and her partner  Donald Isaacson.  Also surviving are loved grandnephews and grandnieces and their families.  In his memory, contributions may be made to your favorite charity.   Funeral services will be held at Daly Funeral Home at 242 McClellan Street,  Schenectady New York on Saturday January 21, 2017.  A calling hour will be held from  9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. followed by a clergy service. Internment will be at Most Holy Redeemer.
