Obituary of Margaret R. Kelly

Rotterdam - Margaret "Marge" R. Kelly, 89, of Kingsway Village, Queen Philomena Dr., formerly of Helderberg Ave., died Thursday, June 15, 2017. Marge was born in Schenectady, the daughter of Bernard and Rose Klein, and was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. She worked at the General Electric Co. as a Stenographer and Time Center Jewelers. She had been a volunteer at the Dominican Retreat House, a former member of the Rotterdam Seniors, and a communicant of St. Madeleine Sophie Church. She was predeceased by her husband, John E. Kelly, he died in 2009; and her grandson, Jeffrey Daley. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara (Timothy) Daley of W. Suffield, CT and Patricia Kelly-Kowalczyk of Atlanta; four grandchildren, Caitlin, Gregory, Dean and Paul; brothers and sisters-in-law, Matthew Czech of Schenectady, Robert and Christine Kelly of Oldsmar, FL, Mildred Klein of Schenectady and Delores Kelly of Hyde Park; nine predeceased brothers and sisters, Bernard, Rudolph, William, Charles, Frank and John Klein, Amelia Hoedt, Elizabeth Marx and Evelyn Czech. Funeral service, Wednesday, 9 a.m. from the Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady and 10 a.m. at St. Madeleine Sophie Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours, Tuesday afternoon, 4 to 6 p.m., at the funeral home. Entombment, Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
