Obituary of Carole A. Collins

~~Carole Collins, 74, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Ellis Hospital. Carole was born in Queens, NY, the daughter of the late Nancy (Rizzo) and Lee Auborn. Earlier in life she worked as a manicurist for many years and more recently Carole worked as a gemologist for Frank Adams Jewelers, where she met her husband, Charles Collins. Carole enjoyed antiquing, especially for jewelry and had a great eye for pottery and nothing made her happier than spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Louis W. Auborn. Carole is survived by her husband, Charles Collins; sisters, Florence Bradford and Barbara (Charles Leoni); beloved granddaughter, Heather; and several beloved nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday 9 a.m. at St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church, 1241 State St., Schenectady, NY 12304. Interment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church Building Fund.
