Elizabeth Jane Williams of Lawrenceville, NJ (93) passed away on June 8, 2023 peacefully in her sleep at the home of her son Bill Williams in Schenectady, New York. Elizabeth had been attended to by Community Hospice during the last three weeks of her life, as she stayed at her son's home. Elizabeth was born on February 17, 1930 to Elsie and Albert Sedlack (both deceased) in Rockford, Illinois. She attended Beloit College where she met the love of her life, Dale Gordon Williams. They were married a year after they graduated and were together until Dale passed away in 1987. After a brief period living in Indianapolis, they moved to Appleton, Wisconsin where they lived until 1976 when they moved to Lawrenceville, New Jersey. Their three sons William, Robert and James were born in Appleton, Wisconsin. During that time Elizabeth was an active homemaker attending to her mother Elsie who lived with the family and was active in organizations such as the PTA, the YMCA, AAUW, the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, and the Memorial Presbyterian Church in Appleton. After moving to Lawrenceville, NJ in 1976, Elizabeth and the rest of her family became active members of the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville. During her time in Lawrenceville, Elizabeth was active in the local Lawrenceville grade school, Intermediate School, and High School activities for her sons, the Lawrence Woods Neighborhood organization, the local Boy Scouts of America troops, Meals on Wheels, the Lawrence Arts Council, the Trenton hospital (Helene Fuld) bazaar, the Lawrence Swim Club, and many of her church's committees and leadership roles. After moving out of her home in 2017, Elizabeth choose to live at St. Joseph's Skilled Nursing Care in Lawrenceville until living with her son, Bill in May 2023. Elizabeth is survived by her son Bill (Patricia), grandson Sean and granddaughter Grace; her son Robert (Rebecca) of Chester, NJ and granddaughters Kay and Kimberly, grandson Luke, and great-grandsons Bjorn and Finnegan; and her son James (Jacqulyn) of Doha, Qatar and grandsons Grant and Jude. A memorial service at the Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville Saturday July 8, 2023 at 11:00 am, her wish was festive colors and casual dress by all attendees. A private burial at the National Bohemian Cemetery in Chicago, IL will be held at a future date. The family requests that any donations in Elizabeth's name could made to Meals on Wheels in Lawrence Township, NJ or Community Hospice in Albany, NY
