Schenectady, NY- Ronald G. Taylor passed away peacefully on February 7,2024 at Albany Medical Center. He was 74. Born on May 11, 1949 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Albert Isaac and Eleanor Max Taylor. Ron enjoyed cooking, fishing, watching wrestling (sports), science fiction, but above all spending time with family. Ron was employed at Guilderland Center Nursing Home for many years and was well loved by the residents for his kindness and compassionate care. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his first wife Theresa Hill and his second wife Connie Taylor, his brothers Ricky, John and Larry and his daughter Yvette. Survivors include his siblings Hulan, Connie, Porter, Walter, and his children David, Blanche, Anthony, Lamont, Deborah, Bryan, Kyara, Dasey, Justin, Laquisha and Shaquala as well as many foster children cared for throughout the years. Survivors also include many grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Daly Funeral Home ( 242 McClellan St, Schenectady, NY 12304) on February 17, 2024 at 1PM. An hour of visitation will precede the service Sat., 12 to 1 PM. A celebration of life will follow at Rotterdam Elks Lodge #2157 (1152 Curry Rd., Schenectady, NY 12306).
