Obituary of Roger Bailie

Schenectady - Roger J. Bailie Jr., 38, of North Church Street died Friday, at Ellis Hospital after a short illness. Roger was born in Troy; he was a 1994 graduate of Shenendehowa High School and a graduate of New School of Radio and Television. Roger was an employee of Stewarts for 15 years, and was assistant manager at Stewart's on Nott Terrace for the past two years. He was a beloved member and faithful deacon at the Bridge Christian Church for 17 years. He also served regularly as a volunteer on the church media team and lending library. He was loved by all. He is survived by his mother, Karen Marion (Robert San Filippo) of Schenectady; his father, Roger (Lori) Bailie Sr. of Rexford; brothers and sisters, Eric, Brendon, and Kate Bailie, and Jodi Brown; maternal grandmother, Rita Marion of Rexford; aunts and uncles, Paul (Amy) Marion, Elizabeth (and the late Michael Hurley) and Earl Bailie (both were Roger's Godparents) and Raymond (Mary) Durocher; and nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his uncle, James Bailie. Funeral service Wednesday evening 7 o'clock at the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan Street, Schenectady. Calling hours Wednesday afternoon 4 to 8 at the funeral home. Interment Thursday afternoon 2 o'clock at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
