Obituary of Daniel Webster

Schenectady - Daniel T. Webster, Jr., 89, passed away Friday, July 4, 2014. Daniel was born in Watertown, NY, the son of the late Daniel and Mae Rose Webster. He proudly served in the United States Navy during WW II in the Pacific Theatre and worked for the Watervliet Arsenal for many years, retiring as a supervisor. Daniel was a member of the 3rd Order of the Carmelite Monastery and a longtime communicant of St. Luke's Catholic Church. He is survived by his three children, Elizabeth (James) Gallucci, Matt (Mary Rose) Webster and Anne Webster (Philip Zenir); five grandchildren, Daniel T. Webster IV, Tracy Webster, Stephanie Webster, Lucas Zenir and Madeleine Zenir; and two great-grandchildren. Daniel was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth Blake Webster and their son, Daniel T. Webster III. Daniel's family would like to thank the entire team of the Joan Nicole Prince Home for the wonderful care Daniel received. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Joan Nicole Prince Home 22 Glenview Rd., Scotia, NY 12302. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 1241 State St., Schenectady. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, 5 to 7 p.m. at Daly Funeral Home. 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Interment will be in St. Columban's Cemetery, Arlington, VT.
