Glendale, AZ - Stephen 'Steve' A. Donofrio, 93, formerly of VanVranken Ave., passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, October 2, 2014. Born in Schenectady, Stephen was a graduate of Nott Terrace HS, and served in the US Army Air Corps in the European Theatre during WWII. He was a self employed contractor with his four brothersin-law and his son in the Rotterdam, Schenectady area. Steven was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Maura Donofrio, who passed away in 1985; his son, David Donofrio and his four sisters, Mildred Del Torto, Beatrice Ryan, Jennie Saglimbeni and Jean Potter. He is survived by his daughter, Carol Ann Marotta and her husband, Louis of Arizona; a daughter-in-law, Janis Donofrio of Princetown; seven grandchildren, Stephen, Jeffrey and David Jr. of New York and Frank, Michael, Mark and Lisa of Arizona. Also survived by 19 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service Saturday morning 10 a.m. at the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St. to which people are invited after 9 a.m. Calling hours Friday evening 6 to 8 p.m. Interment, St. Joseph's Cemetery, Schenectady. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205.
