Schenectady - Joseph Hemsing passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 17, 2015. Born April 15, 1958 in Schenectady, the son of Frank and Nancy (Gunn) Hemsing. Joe attended schools in Schenectady and was a graduate of Schroon Lake Central School in 1976. For the last several years, he was employed as a handyman. He is survived by his son, Joseph Hemsing (Jersey City, NJ); his siblings and their families, Linda Decker (Schroon Lake), Barbara Romero (Kiev, Ukraine), Frank Hemsing (Bucyruss, Ohio), Bob Hemsing (Arygle), Katie McClure (Yorktown, VA), Thomas Hemsing (Schroon Lake), Larry Koller (North Hudson) and Jonni Ann Koller (South Glens Falls). Joe resided in Schenctady for several years with his loving and devoted companion, Nadine Dix. He will be dearly missed by her children and extended family, including Damian and Kaine, his devoted grandsons. Joe is also survived by his stepmother, Betty Hemsing, and her family. Joseph was predeceased by his father, Frank Hemsing in 1994, his mother Nancy Koller, in April 2004 and his stepfather, John Koller, in July 2004. Funeral Service, Saturday, March 21, 2015, at 3 o'clock at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan Street, Schenectady. A calling hour will precede the service from 2 to 3 p.m.
