Niskayuna - Rodney Victor Bobbins of Schenectady, New York passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2015. Rodney was born March 18, 1941 to Victor and Ethel Bubbins in Glens Falls, New York. Rodney grew up in Schenectady and graduated from Christian Brothers Academy, Albany, New York in 1959. He went on to study at Niagara University in Niagara Falls, New York, and Union College in Schenectady. He graduated in 1965 from Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, New York with an Associate degree in Automotive Technology. He began his working career as a Sales Representative for Gulf Oil Company. After several years he relocated to California where he owned a sporting goods store, OSAGA in Riverside California. He spent the last years of his life living in both Schenectady and Naples, Florida. He was an excellent golfer and sports enthusiasts. He was preceded in death by his Father, Victor Bubbins, and survived by his Mother, Ethel Bubbins; his two children, Son, Steven Rodney Bobbins, Daughter, Alexis Bobbins Carter, a Grandson, Alexander Carter, and lifelong friend and devoted loving companion, Donna Loro, as well as many cousins and family members in Glens Falls, New York. Funeral service, Thursday morning, 10:00 a.m., at St. John the Evangelist Church where a Mass of Christian Burial well be celebrated. There will be no calling hours.
