Niskayuna - Vincent Anthony Isopo, 50, was called home by God peacefully on July 26, 2015, after a courageous 20 year battle with renal disease, surrounded by his family. Born in Schenectady, NY on March 5, 1965, he was the son of Giuliano and Josephine Isopo Sr. A graduate of Linton High School, he attended HVCC and worked as a cooling and refrigeration specialist. He had a love for cars, sports and the outdoors, camping and boating with his brothers. He loved spending time with his family, especially his daughters and entertaining them with his sense of humor and style. In addition to his parents, Vincent is survived by his two daughters, whom he cherished and loved, Karen Isopo-Piscitelli (Rocco) and Sara Isopo; his grandson, Cologero Piscitelli; his siblings, Patricia Isopo-Croteau, Rev. Dominic P. Isopo, Giuliano Isopo Jr., (Denise G), Jo-Ann Isopo Davis (Peter), Maria Isopo-Barringer (Bruce) and Anthony Isopo (Tara); nieces and nephews, Kenneth Davis, Giuliano Isopo III, Demitria Robbins and Devin Robbins; his aunt and uncle, Sante and Mary Isopo; several cousins; and many friends. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, July 30 at Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the evening. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, July 31, 11 a.m. at St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church, 1241 State Street in Schenectady. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Vincent's name to St. Luke's Daily Bread Food Pantry, St. Joseph's Place, an outreach ministry of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 225 Lafayette St., Schenectady, NY 12305 or the Kidney Foundation. Interment will take place in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Renal Unit at Albany Medical College Hospital and Niskayuna Home Therapies for their compassionate care and concern during his many visits. Vincent's generous spirit, his hearty laugh, his courage and unfailing optimism will be missed by his family and friends. But he is finally free.
