Obituary of Gertrude Sindoni

Schenectady - Gertrude "Marion" Sindoni, 91, passed away, peacefully, Friday, September 25, 2015. Marion was born in Schenectady, the daughter of the late Stanley and Ida Naparty, and was a lifelong area resident. As a young woman she worked for General Electric, Gloversville Knitting Mill (in Schenectady) and Duane Rentals. Later, she was a child care provider in people's homes. Marion loved watching the NY Yankees and professional bowling. She also loved polish food and music. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward A. Sindoni Sr. in 1999. Marion is survived by her children, Edward A. (Lynn) Sindoni Jr. of Halfmoon, Richard H. (Cynthia) Sindoni of Rotterdam and Karen (Brian) McGrath of Schenectady; brother, Richard (Peggy) Hermida; grandchildren, Joelle (Todd) Leach, Lisa (Corey Williams) Sindoni, Anthony Sindoni and Sean McGrath; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Marion's family would like to thank the entire staff of the Edison Wing at Ellis Residential and Rehabilitation Center for their loving care. The funeral service will be Wednesday, 10 a.m. at Daly Funeral Home,Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. A calling hour will precede the service from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
