Obituary of Irene Rogers

Irene R. Rogers, 91, passed into internal life and joined her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 2, 2015 at Ridgeview Hospital in Waconia, MN. She was born in Eupen, Belgium on August 9, 1924, one of six children born to the late Alphonse and Rosalie (Meessen) Pesch. Irene was married to Edward W. Rogers in 1945 and lived briefly in Amsterdam, NY before moving to Schenectady where they raised three children together. She was an active member of St. John the Evangelist Church and was employed for many years by St. Clare's Hospital as a Unit Secretary. Irene's devotion to her faith and love of her family and friends were central to her life. In early 2014, Irene relocated to Minnesota to live at her son's residence. She is survived by her son, Rolf Rogers (Julie) of Hamburg, MN; her daughter, Rosemarie Bumbardatore (Frank) of Rolesville, NC; Ingrid Fredrick (Norm) of Clifton Park, NY; and their families including nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren that she cherished. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband and her three brothers and two sisters. Family and close friends are invited to attend the funeral which will begin Friday, October 9th at 10:00 a.m. at Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady, NY and at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
