Obituary of Armando Caruso

On Thursday, December 24, 2009, Armando J. Caruso passed away at home. Born in Schenectady, Armando was a lifelong resident. He went to Hudson Valley Community College, where he studied radio and television repair. Armando then worked for the General Electric Company in the large motor division then later in the generator department for many years before retiring. He was an extremely devout Catholic who was a longtime parishioner of St. John the Evangelist church. Armando is survived by a brother, Orlando J. Caruso of Scotia; a nephew, David Caruso; a niece, Deena Morrison; and a cousin, Pat Reo. Funeral service will be Thursday morning at 9:30 from the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., and 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment, Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. Memorial contributions may be made to the church at 816 Union St.
