Schenectady - Bienvenido "Ben" D Mercado died peacefully January 30, 2016. He was born May 5, 1923 in Legaspi, Albay in the Philippines, lived in Jacksonville, Florida for the last 43 years until the death of his beloved wife Aurora moved to Schenectady to live with his daughter. Ben leaves behind his children Joy (Tom) Anderson, Jesuito Wito (Jill Barnes) Mercado and Joselito Joel (Dolores Ann Steel) Mercado; his grandchildren Tracy, Ben (Yoko Itami) and Linda (Mark) Isaacs; his great grandchildren (Steel and Elias Isaacs and Takuma Anderson. He was so loved and will be missed greatly by all who met and knew him.
Memorial calling hours will be Tuesday 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. The funeral service and interment will be in Florida.
