Obituary of Edna Lloyd

Saratoga Springs - Edna M. Lloyd, 91, of Lawrence St., died Monday, February 22, 2016, at Wesley Health Care Center. Edna was born in Wanamie, PA, the daughter of Robert and Mabel Blackburn. She was a graduate of Newport Township High School, moved to Schenectady in 1951, later moving to Glenville in 1984 and to Saratoga Springs in 1996. She had been active in the Methodist churches in the community where she lived, lastly being a member of Saratoga Springs United Methodist Church. Edna is survived by her husband, James A. Lloyd. They were married for 69 years and were married on Jim's birthday, August 7, 1946. She is also survived by their daughter, Linda (Chesley) Wilson of Rotterdam, a sister-in-law, Mary Frank of Jim Thorpe, PA, 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, cousins and several nieces. She was predeceased by siblings, Robert Jr., Dawn and Richard Blackburn. A graveside service will be held in the Spring, at Schenectady Memorial Park.
