Obituary of Marie Pastiglione

Schenectady - Marie Elizabeth Pastiglione, 93, died Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at The Capital Living Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Marie was born and educated in Schenectady, the daughter of Vittorio and Maria Russo. She had worked at General Electric Co and Alfred's Fabric. Marie will be remembered as a loving, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed cooking for her family, sewing and making crafts for others. Marie was a lifetime communicant of St. Anthony's Church. She was predeceased by her husband Bartholomew Pastiglione, Sr, who died in 1993. She is survived by 3 children; John (Linda) Pastiglione of Flemington, NJ, Bart "Chick" (Susan) Pastiglione ,Jr. of Niskayuna and Susan (Joel) Bisaillon of Niskayuna;a sister, Helen Preston of Glenville and a brother, Victor (Frieda) Russo, Jr.; 10 grandchildren; Jennifer, Andrea, Anthony, Jamie, Meghan, Brian, Kristen, Joel, Jr, Jonathan, MD and Caitlin; 7 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Marie was predeceased by siblings; Anthony, Joseph and Patsy Russo and Olga Bonnie. Funeral Service, Monday morning 9:15 from Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady and 10:00 at St. John the Evangelist Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours, Sunday afternoon, 4:00 to 7:00 in the evening at the funeral home. Interment, Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
