Gwendolyn H. Knowlton, 92, passed away Monday, May 9, 2016. Gwendolyn was born in Schenectady, the daughter of the late Merritt and Helena (Hughes) Knowlton and was a lifelong area resident. She attended Schenectady City Schools and then worked at Ogden's Liquor Store for 27 years, retiring in 1970. Gwendolyn was a member of the Annie Shaffer Senior Citizens and a longtime communicant of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 9 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Schenectady. A calling hour will precede the Mass on Thursday morning from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Interment will be in Park Cemetery, Scotia.
