Obituary of Jessie Bucci

Schenectady - On the morning of June 8, 2016, Jessie H. Bucci passed into the arms of the Lord. She died as she lived, with class and dignity. She was born Ceshlawa Helena Goscinska on November 18, 1922 in Schenectady, New York, a daughter of Roman and Mary Goscinski. She graduated from Nott Terrace in 1941. She was predeceased by her parents and all of her siblings, brothers, Edward, Chester and Zigmund, and sisters, Pelegia and Regina. She married Thomas J. Bucci, DDS in 1946. He passed away in 1977. She held several different positions over the course of her working life. She was a certified dental assistant, with her husband in his Schenectady office. Later, she earned her real estate license and for over 25 years, she worked in retail selling clothing at Dalls, M. Solomons and Loretta Lane Bridal Shop. Her charitable activities included the Dental Auxiliary of Schenectady County, for which she served a term as president and secretary. She volunteered with her daughter's girl scout troop. Most of all, she used her free time to help her beloved family. She was an enthusiastic swimmer and dancer, belonging each summer to the Woodlin Club and the Jewish Community Center respectively. She spent many happy years attending dances at the Sons of Italy in Schenectady, and never turned down an opportunity to "put on her dancing shoes," even if it was a waltz around the house with one of her daughters. She is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Bucci Johnson of Northville and Ballston Spa and Nancie Bucci Bouck (Larry Daly) of Niskayuna, New York. Her five grandchildren: Joshua Johnson, Theresa Bouck Janaitis (Bram), Erin Johnson Hogan (Scott), Mercedes Bouck Ghimire (Vivek) and Scott Johnson (Julie). She was blessed with seven great-grandchildren, Liam Hogan, Peyton Johnson, Olivia Johnson, Lucie Hogan, Chloe Janaitis, Harper Ghimire and Nora Johnson. Funeral, Saturday morning, 11:15 from the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St. and 12 noon at St John the Evangelist Church. Interment, St. Anthony's Cemetery, Glenville.
