Delmar - Judy Ann Bobik, 67, born April 18, 1949, passed away peacefully Friday, June 10, 2016 after a long illness. Judy was born in Albany, the daughter of the late Alfred and Veronica Reutzel and was a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Maple Hill High School, after traveling to the west coast she worked for New York State Court of Claims as a legal transcriber for many years, retiring in 2002 after 35 years. Judy enjoyed fishing and hunting with her late husband, Stephen Bobik, who predeceased her in 2014. She loved living in their log cabin high over the hills in Stephentown, NY. Judy had a deep affection for all animals, especially her dogs Champ and Olivia and cherished visiting with her friends and co-workers after retirement. Judy was a carefree spirit with a great sense of humor always joking around for a laugh. Judy is survived by her two nieces, Jeanne Henderson, (Scott) and Mary Maines, (Bill) of Amsterdam, NY. Two great-nieces, Lauren Henderson, Jessica Maines and great-nephew, Evan Maines; a step-daughter, Patricia Sezna of California and two step-grandsons, Christopher and Randall Bobik of Schenectady NY; many loving cousins and dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Judy was predeceased by her sister, Rita Armer and step-son, Stephen Bobik, Jr. The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016 (today) at 12 noon at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. A calling hour will precede the service from 11 a.m. to 12: noon at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. At the family's request, donations can be made in Judy's name to The Mohawk-Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204 or Community Hospice, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205. The family would also like to thank the staff at Good Samaritan Lutheran Health for Judy's wonderful care over the years.
