Obituary of Pasquale Gatto

Schenectady - Pasquale "Pat" Gatto, 77, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016, after a brief illness. Pat was born in Schenectady, the son of the late Nicholas and Assunta (Rossetti) Gatto, and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Mont Pleasant High School, Class of 1958, and proudly served in the US Navy from 1958 to 1962, aboard the USS Barry DD933. Pat worked as a Boiler Operator at Ellis Hospital for more than 40 years. He is survived by his children, Judi Gatto and Matthew (Pamela) Gatto; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Pat was predeceased by his wife, Joyce Gatto; and his brother, Nicholas Gatto. The family would like to thank the staff of Ellis Hospital, and especially Dr. Saeed Khan, for the care that Pat received. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady. Funeral services will be Wednesday, 11:15 a.m. from the funeral home, then to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Schenectady, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m. Interment will be in St. John The Baptist Cemetery on Brandywine Ave., Schenectady.
