Schenectady - Luis A. Velez, 65, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016 at his home.
Luis was born in Puerto Rico, the son of the late Octavio and Anna Velez and moved to the United States as a young man, He worked as a truck driver for the Golub Corporation for many years.
Luis is survived by his wife, Anna M. Dones; his son Joel Martinez; grandchildren, Natalie and Joel, Jr.; brother, Rolando; and niece, Yvette.
The funeral service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady.
Calling hours will precede the service from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
