Schenectady - Adam J. Czech, 92, of Van Curler Ave., died Wednesday, August 24, 2016, at Nathan Littauer Hospital and Nursing Home. Adam was born and educated in Schenectady, he was a US Army World War II veteran. He had worked for the City of Schenectady for many years, as a horticulturalist and was a co-designer of the Rose Garden. He was a devote Catholic and was altar server at St. Mary's Church and St. Anthony's Church. He was predeceased by his wife, Claire Czech. Survived by a son, Heath Czech; a brother, Matt Czech; two grandson, Anthony and Christopher Czech and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Dennis Czech; and a brother, Chester Czech. Funeral service, Monday morning 9:30 from Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St., Schenectady and 10 a.m., St. Anthony's Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. A calling hour will be held from 8:30 to 9 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment, St. Joseph's Cemetery, Schenectady. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony's Church, 331 Seward Pl., Schenectady, New York 12305.
