Scotia - Arthur Ferrara 86 of Scotia,NY passed away peacefully Thursday September 29th surrounded by his loving family. Arthur proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean conflict. He fought for his country in some of the harshest conditions in Marine Corps history. Arthur started his career in 1960 selling automobiles. He loved his career and was very good at it. Arthur started his second career at New York State Automobile Dealers Association. He enjoyed this very much, staying in contact with many friends and acquaintances that he made along the way. Arthur really enjoyed boating on Lake George, golfing, and his collection of convertible cars.
Son of the late Anthony and Frances Ferrara , Arthur is also predeceased by his brother Jack Ferrara, sister in law Shirley Ferrara and his wife Lillian Dignon Ferrara. Arthur is survived by his son Mark Ferrara (Diane), and daughter Karen Ferrara. His grandchildren Kristopher Ferrara (Tina), Jacqueline Neville (Tom), Valarie Lewis (Jared), Anthony Ferrara (Marisa), Karlyn Ferrara (Matthew) and three great granddaughters.
Funeral Service Monday morning 8:15 a.m. from Daly Funeral Home, Inc., 242 McClellan St. and 9:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Glenville. Interment St Anthony's Cemetery, Glenville . Calling Hours Sunday evening, 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home .
