Obituary of Francis Kuzsman

Schenectady - Francis "Frank" Joseph Kuzsman, 86, died peacefully with his family at his side Friday, October 28, 2016. Francis was born in New York City, the son of Alexander and Helen Kuzsman. He was devoted teacher, principal and superintendent of public schools in Connecticut. He served for 28 years as a professor in the Education Department at St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, Canada. Frank devoted over 25 years of research and development on school discipline, and conducted over 250 workshops and seminars in the United States and Canada for teachers and school administrators. After retirement in 1995, he enjoyed travelling in North America and Europe, fishing at the lake, watching his football and basketball games and spending time with family. Frank is survived by his wife of 64 years, Shirley Kuzsman; and his four children, Frances Kuzsman (Ralph Kirk), Catherine Kuzsman (James Chisholm), Steven Kuzsman and Maureen Kozak (Cyril); five grandchildren, Brian, Sean, Drew, Dan and Nick. Frank's family would like to give a heart-felt thank you to the nurses and doctors at Ellis Hospital. Funeral service, Tuesday morning, 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment, Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
